Crista Cloutier is the creator of The Working Artist, a professional practices workshop for visual artists and photographers. This comprehensive seminar gives students the business and marketing tools they need to navigate the professional art world and create a successful career. Her own background in the art business is unique and she has worked with many blue-chip artists and institutions, as well as fostered the careers of many emerging artists. She developed The Working Artist to address the needs that she saw in the industry for artists to grasp exactly what is expected of them as professionals.
Crista has now taught The Working Artist through institutions and to groups throughout the USA, the UK, South Africa and France. After taking the course, her students have moved forward in their careers with confidence and intent..
In 2008, Crista moved to Europe to pursue her own creative projects. Today, she acts as Arts Market Advisor to the firm Tony Felice PR and Marketing. She travels extensively and writes, makes photographs, and lectures on issues surrounding creativity and business. She is currently running a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to bring The Working Artist to an online audience. Please see >TheWorkingArtist.info for more information.
